About the Rotary Club of Cedar Hill's Rally

The Rotary Club of Cedar Hill is a diverse group of local business people and civic leaders who have completely embraced the essence of Rotary International's "Service Above Self" theme. The Club was chartered on May 21, 2003, and early on earned the distinction of winning Rotary District 5810 awards, most notably in the areas of youth and community service.

Our club would like to thank our volunteers, sponsors like the City of Cedar Hill, B&B Bicycle, the Cedar Hill Recreation Center, Hillside Village, and all of the fantastic riders who come out to support our bike rally. Albertson’s cookies and bananas, an ice cold beverage, and a fresh hamburger made on the spot by Red Robin Restaurant are a GINORMOUS hit with our riders.

With the able help of the Southwest Dallas County Amateur Radio Club, over 170 volunteers stay connected – making this one of the safest bike events around. We remain committed to making this the best ride in Texas!

All the profit from the Head for the Hills Bike Rally is used to help sustain ongoing charitable endeavors.  Our youth services include an annual "Coats 4 Kids" campaign to insure that all Cedar Hill grammar school children have a warm winter coat. The Head for the Hills bike rally allows the Rotary Club of Cedar Hill to maintain our youth programs and sponsor summer day camp scholarships, as well as respond to other immediate needs in the community. We are able to respond to world disasters and international hardship through our club's direct donations.  Here is a comprehensive list of the Cedar Hill Rotary Foundation's 2016 donation recipients, seen in the BIG CHECK giveaway above:
